Karleigh graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Dalhousie University and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in August of 2025. Her lifelong passion for animals was shaped by many years in 4-H, where she served as club president, participated in showmanship, and focused on veterinary science projects. After three years of progressive growth in general practice—starting as a veterinary assistant during her studies—Karleigh is excited to bring her skills to an urgent care environment.
She is deeply passionate about feline medicine, chronic disease management, and quality-of-life care, always striving to support both pets and the people who love them. At home, managing her senior pets has deeply informed her compassionate approach to long-term patient care, helping her guide clients through similar journeys.
Karleigh lives with her partner, Jordan, and a beloved family of senior felines. Life largely revolves around her senior twin cats, Taz and Roxie, who have been by her side since she was seven years old and are currently managing chronic kidney disease. The household is completed by Jordan’s cat, Bow—her self-proclaimed step-fur-son (named after the weapon, not the accessory, as Jordan is quick to clarify). Outside of work, Karleigh loves spending time with family, friends, and soaking up every moment with her senior kitties.
